Pecan Pie

Ingredients
4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup cane syrup, (Lyle’s Golden Syrup or Steen’s Cane Syrup)
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 pie shell

Instructions:

Melt butter and combine with flour and corn starch. Stir until well blended. Combine sugar with butter mixture in sauce pan and boil for 3 minutes. Let cool to about 120 degrees.

Beat eggs and combine vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Blend well.

Comine all ingredients and blend well. This may require a mixer since the sugar mixture will be thick. Fold in pecans and pour into medium unbaked pastry shell.

Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
